My geraniums got hit by frost. Two days later and no better. What can I do ?

I forgot to bring them in. The 1st morning after frost they were a little droopy leaved. 2nd day a little worse. Can I cut them back? They are very full and blooming profusely. I'm deep in zone 9. Please help!

Geraniums are tender perennials... they should live indefinitely, but obviously do not handle frost. Try cutting the plant back to firm, solid, green stems. If there are any like that left on the plant it should come back. Use a sharp knife, but be careful with it! As long as all the stems are not soft and slowly becoming mushy, it will be fine.
Reply:Geranium has a rose-like aroma with minty undertones. An important ingredient in many skin care products, it provides balancing properties to both dry and oily complexions.
