I make sure to water mine every day during the hot sunny days, and i make sure that i pull off all the old flower heads that have dropped their petals. They are in an area with sun 3/4's of the day, and they are planted in plastic containers, not in the ground.
The soil does get dried out if i miss a day, and i'm only in michigan - not exactly a dry climate.
But mine are doing great this year!!!
How can I keep my geraniums looking good?
dead head them when the blooms die, spray them wilth a light mist of water ofter
Reply:Cut off the old flowers and they will grow new ones. Cutting off the whole group of dead flowers on one stem.
They like sunny spot to sit.
Cut off the yellowing leaves.
Make sure it gets good watering.
You can put them in the basement or whatever in the winter and they will keep till next year, keep them watered.
Reply:You have to expect a period of dormancy. So if it seems that they are not flowering, keep watering and be patient.
