What causes yellow leaves on geranium plants?

It sounds like your problem is either too much water or not enough water. Geraniums and begonias like well drained soil. They need a drink, but not moist soil. I water mine once a week, instead of every other day like I do my other flowers and ferns.

Its more than likely too much water. I now wait until the top two inches of my plants gets dry before I water them. You can use a moisture meter to measure the top couple of inches of dirt or you can use your finger.

Reply:Most likely over-watering or over-feeding...Check around base of plant to see what's going on...If it's in a pot it may need to be transplanted and you should tip it out to check the soil and roots, anyway.

Reply:Certain plants, like geraniums, naturally have yellow leaves. It's just an older leaf, and past a certain age, they begin to yellow. You may be doing nothing wrong if you have a few yellow leaves.
